**Delight AI pricing starts at $0 for Desk, but you'll need a quote for AI resolutions.** The free helpdesk is appealing. It just doesn't tell you what your AI bill will look like.

I'll break down what you get for free, what to ask before paying for AI, and how to work out a realistic budget. 👇

---

## Key takeaways

- **Desk is free**: $0 per seat, no tier limits, and no annual commitment for the helpdesk.
- **AI pricing requires a quote**: Delight charges for successful AI resolutions but doesn't publish a standard rate.
- **Human handoffs aren't billed as AI resolutions**: Confirm how reopened conversations and customer silence affect that rule.
- [**Featurebase**✨](https://www.featurebase.app/)**has published pricing**: Paid plans start at $29/seat/month, billed annually, plus $0.49 per Fibi AI resolution. There's also a Free plan.

## What is Delight AI?

*Delight AI's customer engagement platform.*

[Delight AI](https://www.featurebase.app/blog/delight-ai-reviews) is Sendbird's customer engagement platform. It offers AI agents across chat, email, SMS, and voice, alongside a helpdesk called Delight Desk.

Like other [AI customer service agents](https://www.featurebase.app/blog/ai-customer-service-agents), it can answer questions and take actions, such as updating an account or handling a return. Its Actionbooks define the steps the AI follows, while Trust OS provides testing and monitoring tools.

Desk is where human agents manage conversations when someone needs personal help.

## How does Delight AI pricing work?

There are 2 parts to budget for: the helpdesk and AI usage. Here's what Delight publishes as of October 26, 2026:

| What you're using | Pricing |
| --- | --- |
| Delight Desk | $0 per seat, no tier limits |
| Successful AI resolutions | Custom quote |
| AI conversations handed to humans | No AI resolution charge |
| Voice AI | Custom pricing based on call volume, billed per resolution |

### Delight Desk: free, with no seat fees

Adding another human agent doesn't increase your Desk license bill. That makes it worth considering if you want more teammates helping customers without buying a seat for each person.

You'll still need to account for your team's time and any separate services you use.

![Delight Desk illustration showing a $0 seat fee for each human support agent.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/56/ac/56acdd2c-2663-4a50-9c02-81624392e1d0/content/images/2026/10/image-118.png)

*$0 human-agent seat fees, with AI billed separately.*

### AI resolutions: paid, with no public rate

Delight says you pay when its AI closes a conversation without escalating it to your team. If it hands the conversation to a human, there's no AI resolution charge.

That's **outcome-based pricing**: you pay for a defined result. With per-conversation pricing, you could pay for an interaction even when the customer still needs help.

But the rate is only half the story. You'll also want to know exactly what Delight counts as “resolved,” especially when a customer comes back later.

### What about the $49, $149, and $499 plans online?

Those figures appear in TrustRadius's listing alongside messaging plans billed by monthly active users, or MAUs. They aren't reliable prices for Delight's current AI resolution offering.

I'd leave them out of your AI budget and ask for a quote for the product you plan to use.

## What does the free helpdesk include?

![Delight Desk inbox showing open tickets from multiple channels and a translated customer conversation.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/56/ac/56acdd2c-2663-4a50-9c02-81624392e1d0/content/images/2026/10/image-117.png)

*Delight Desk's ticket inbox and customer conversations.*

Delight Desk includes:

- Ticket management across chat, email, and voice
- Skills-based routing, priority queues, and automations
- A shared knowledge base for customers, agents, and AI
- Copilot reply suggestions, summaries, and knowledge search
- AI translations for multilingual support

If you rely on [omnichannel routing](https://www.featurebase.app/blog/omnichannel-routing), test a real handoff during your evaluation. Does the conversation reach the right person, with enough context to help?

Also check how Copilot assistance is treated in your quote. Suggesting a reply for a human and resolving a conversation autonomously are different activities.

## What should you ask before getting a quote?

I'd focus on 3 things: what counts as a resolution, what's included, and what happens when usage changes.

### What counts as a billable resolution?

Ask Delight to walk through a few ordinary support situations:

- **A customer comes back**: Is the charge reversed if the original answer didn't solve the problem?
- **A customer goes quiet**: Does silence count as success, and after how long?
- **A conversation has several questions**: Can it generate more than 1 charge?

These details matter when comparing AI agent pricing. For example, **Featurebase** charges at most once per Fibi conversation and removes the charge if the customer later returns to that conversation seeking more help.

Get Delight's rules in writing so you can compare the same kinds of resolutions.

### What's included in the price?

Ask for a quote covering your actual channels and workflows, including any implementation costs.

Delight's Retell comparison says its quoted offering includes LLM, telephony, and infrastructure costs. Confirm that this applies to your quote before adding separate charges to your estimate.

I'd also check who handles setup:

- **Content and migration**: Who cleans up your help articles and imports old conversations?
- **Integrations**: Who connects and tests the systems the AI needs to use?
- **Onboarding**: What help do you get before and after launch?

Your team may still have work to do even if setup is included. A quick pass through [knowledge base best practices](https://www.featurebase.app/blog/knowledge-base-best-practices) can help you find outdated answers before customers do.

### What happens in a busy or quiet month?

Ask about minimum spend, included resolutions, and the rate above your allowance. If there's a volume discount, check which usage gets the lower price.

Then ask whether you can reduce your commitment at renewal. A discounted rate isn't much of a bargain if you're paying for usage you don't need.

Desk's no-annual-commitment offer applies to the helpdesk. Check the terms of paid AI separately.

## How to estimate your Delight AI bill

Start with your conversation volume and the share you expect AI to resolve. Then apply your quoted price per resolution.

The following examples use made-up volumes and resolution percentages, not Delight performance claims. They exclude minimum spend, included usage, and other contract charges.

### 1. Desk without paid AI usage

You have 10 human agents and no paid AI resolutions:

> **Seat charges:** 10 × $0 = **$0
>
> AI resolution charges:** **$0**

Your team still costs money to run, but Desk isn't adding a per-agent license fee.

### 2. A normal month with AI

You receive 5,000 conversations, and 40% qualify as billable AI resolutions:

> 5,000 × 40% = **2,000 resolutions
>
> AI usage charge:** 2,000 × your quoted price per resolution

Use your pilot results to replace the 40% assumption. If your plan includes resolutions, calculate only the extra usage at the applicable rate, then account for any minimum spend.

### 3. A busy month after a launch

Volume rises to 10,000 conversations, and 50% become billable resolutions:

> 10,000 × 50% = **5,000 resolutions
>
> AI usage charge:** 5,000 × your quoted price per resolution

At the same unit price, that's **2.5× the normal month's usage charge**. More [customer service automation](https://www.featurebase.app/blog/what-is-customer-service-automation) may mean less manual work, but you'll want room for the higher AI bill.

I'd send both volumes to Delight and ask for the total price under the proposed contract. That gives you something concrete to compare.

## Featurebase: an alternative with published pricing

Featurebase combines AI support, a help center, and feedback management in one workspace. It's worth a look if your software team's customer base is growing and you want to automate more of the support work.

[![Featurebase support inbox showing a customer conversation, team queues, and an embedded live chat widget.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/56/ac/56acdd2c-2663-4a50-9c02-81624392e1d0/content/images/2026/02/Support-featurebase.jpg)](https://www.featurebase.app/help-desk)

*Featurebase's support inbox and live chat.*

Here's the [published pricing](https://www.featurebase.app/pricing):

| Plan | Per seat/month, billed annually | Per seat/month, billed monthly |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0, 1 seat | $0, 1 seat |
| Growth | $29 | $37 |
| Professional | $59 | $75 |
| Enterprise | $99 | $129 |

**Fibi costs $0.49 per resolution on paid plans.** Free includes unlimited conversations, but doesn't include Fibi AI Agent.

![Featurebase support analytics dashboard showing conversation flows between Fibi AI and human teammates.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/56/ac/56acdd2c-2663-4a50-9c02-81624392e1d0/content/images/2026/07/image-87.png)

*Featurebase reports track AI and human support outcomes.*

Check the plan against your needs. Slack, workflows, and SLAs start on Professional, while multi-brand support requires Enterprise. Unlimited Copilot use is an add-on, and translations or outbound messaging can cost extra above their allowances.

Published prices make budgeting easier, but you'll still need Delight's quote to decide which option costs less for your team.

## Is Delight AI worth it?

Delight's free helpdesk is worth considering if it covers your team's needs. For AI, I'd judge the quote alongside a pilot: what does it resolve well, how much work remains for your team, and what will a busy month cost?

**Featurebase gives software teams AI support, a help center, and feedback tools together, with published seat and resolution prices. It can help you automate support while keeping customer requests connected to product work.**

### FAQs

#### Can I use Delight Desk without enabling AI?

Yes, Delight says Desk works as a human-operated helpdesk on its own. You can move your support team over first and evaluate AI later.

#### Does Delight AI offer a free AI trial?

Delight doesn't publish a standard AI trial duration or usage allowance on the pages checked. Ask whether a pilot is available and whether test conversations are billable.

#### Can I buy Delight AI through AWS Marketplace?

Yes, it's listed under Sendbird Inc. with custom enterprise pricing and a private-offer option. The displayed $0.01 sits alongside instructions to get a quote, so don't use it as your expected deployment cost.

#### Can Delight AI work with my existing helpdesk?

Delight lists integrations with Zendesk, Salesforce, Intercom, Freshworks, and ServiceNow. Test the handoff you need, and include your existing helpdesk subscription in the budget if you're keeping it.

#### How should I measure ROI during a Delight AI pilot?

Compare similar requests before and during the pilot, looking at handling time, customer satisfaction, and repeat contacts. Check a sample of “resolved” conversations yourself, then include setup and maintenance time when working out whether the savings justify the cost.
